What is the Annual Catholic Appeal?
This campaign is the Bishop’s annual appeal in support of important ministries and services provided by the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings.The 2024 Annual Catholic Appeal provides funding and support for:
- Bringing extern priests to our diocese so that all churches may be served sacramentally
- Seminarian Education
- Support of vocations through the Office of Vocations at the Chancery
- Care of our retired and disabled priests
- Funding the Diaconate ministry – training new Deacons for service in our parishes
- Bishop’s travel to parishes for important events such as the Sacraments of Initiation, parish milestones, parish retreats and more
- Bringing hope and healing to Catholics throughout our diocese through the marriage and family services offered through the diocesan office of the Tribunal
- Providing stewardship/discipleship conferences and trainings
- Coordinating diocesan ceremonies such as the Rite of Election, Chrism Mass and Ordinations
- Adoption services through Catholic Social Services of Montana
- Social justice and advocacy of caring for the poor and other Catholic teaching through the Montana Catholic Conference
- Safe environment awareness for children and adults
- Informative articles in “The Harvest”
- Property and fiscal management
- Human resources, legal and business support
