The Sacrament of Baptism marks the beginning of a lifelong commitment to Christ. Humanity fell away from God when Adam and Eve committed the first sin. Original sin is what the Church calls this falling away from God. Baptism washes away that brokenness and gives the baptized the Holy Spirit. During baptism, we are also welcomed into Christ’s Church. Baptism is the first step for someone becoming Catholic at any age. We experience and celebrate the grace of God through this Sacrament. Catholics are asked to baptize their children soon after the child’s birth because of how necessary baptism is for our salvation.
This is a beautiful time for families. Families show their promise to raise their children in the Catholic faith through baptism. Please return both forms to the parish office.
